The Shefan (She Dinner) of Fenghuang was a sacrifice to the God of the Land in ancient times. It is a product of the Chinese religious culture which later evolved into a dining culture. People chop and dry fresh tarragon which is later put in the rice with scallions and preserved meat dices. It is normally cooked in an iron wok because the dishes heated by firewood taste good.
